[4749] Using Grooves truncates note length

When I select a groove in hot swap for a midi track, upon committing, all my notes get truncated to what seems to be the shortest possible value.
Anyone else?
(Sorry if this has been discussed, I couldn't find it).

yea this happens when the selected groove's 'quantize' value is set to anything other than 0% or 100%, e.g. 1% quantize would result in the shortest notes.
not sure if this is how it's supposed to work, as there's no mention of quantize affecting a note's length in the info pane. i assumed it would just move the notes nearer to the specified 'base' timing before applying the groove, not truncate them.

It can't be right. It sounds like an oversight. Don't get me wrong, the groove options are an giant leap forward, I'm so glad its there, but it sounds like a detail that needs brushing. Maybe someone from Ableton can tell us one way or another?
