Point Blank Ableton Course

Has anyone ever completed a Point Blank Ableton course? It seems really costly for something that you could arguably get from Groovebox.

If you've done the course id really like to hear what you got out of it and how much of it was relevant. The sound design course looks really interesting, but all the demo vid's seem to just focus on quick/trendy tricks which can hardly justify the 595 pound cost!

I'm coming over from Logic so im looking for something really detailed to get me moving.

My mate did a point blank course in DJing and said it was really good.

But 595 is a lot of money. I really enjoyed the course I did at City Lit.

Never spoken to anyone who has specifically been on the Ableton course, however, I know people who have done the music production one and I've only heard good things about Pointblank. I think it's expensive due to where it is (I.E slap back in the middle of London's "cool" area)....

I'm amazed at the cost of these relatively short courses not just at point blank but at other educational set ups.

However you need to look at what else they are offering in the way of contacts into the music business (if thats what you're after)... otherwise you can probably learn more through available video tutorials, the manual and there are some good reference books out there which i constantly refer back to eg Ableton Power series

The main reason Live is my go-to tool is because I rarely needed any explanation. That's why any money for a 'how-to' on Ableton Live seems like a waste of money for me personally. The layout of the course seems very clear and structured though, so if you feel you might get your money's worth, go for it!
