UC-33e - Looses MIDI assignment.

Hello folks,
Just a quick question, sometime ago I was using the UC-33e with LIVE, I was playing at a club and half way through the set the UC-33e forgot all of it's MIDI mappings. This was very annoying and I have to quickly fudge way around to assigning them all again. This has happened to me a couple of times, once on my main DAW and once playing out with my laptop. I'm using MAC's (if that makes a difference)
Has anyone else had any problems like this?
Cheers,
G

sounds strange. mine doesn`t do that, but sounds like the problem is in the daw.
sounds stupid, but reasons can be: you change to a new set after a song (some people do that) ,you hit any of the programmkeys to the right. i think the uc normally sends it`s custom midi cc. one per knob, per program.

did it clear the mappings or did they look different to the ones the controller is sending out.
do you use program banks? could it be you jumped onto a different bank with different CC data?

my uc33-e looses the connection often with Live too..
i think its some kind of power problem.. it happens especially on outdoor festivals and in places where are lot of effect machines (laser, smoke machine, strobe...)..
i tried everything to fix the problem except an usb hub.. it will be the next thing..
i'm just figured out lately how to bring back the uc33-e...
you have turn it off, then play with the midi settings in the preferences in live, then turn it on, then playing again with the mid settings, etc...
i think i don't have to say how annoying it is...
p.s.: i'm planning to buy an APC40 too....

also tried a power supply? a hub makes it worse instead of better.IMO

yeah, i'm using a power supply. it makes it maybe a little bit less sensitive, but its almost 100% that it will lose the connection with Live when somebody turns on a smoke machine....
