it doesnt happen all the time, but when it does, it's mostly when i load a new ensemble. then, when reaktor window still on top, i can not, for example, play notes or push space bar. i then get the os x error sound

Its not just Reaktor, its not just NI. I posted several betas ago that windows that float over Live, be they imported video, or plugin windows (from numerous manufacturers) steal the application focus and render Live's spacebar unusable for start and stop. This might seem like a minor thing, but I'm finding it has doubled my work time having to mouse click back into the application to start and stop every time I make a tweak to a plugin or change the size of a video window. Also, you can't go full screen with video and THEN click spacebar to start. You have to start the sequencer and THEN double click the video window for full screen. It kind of defeats the purpose when you're working on a 15 second spot.I do not have this problem in LIve 7. There are times it works in the beta, (this being 8.0b10), but its unreliable.

Other plugins i have this problem with:
Audio Unit versions of AAS Lounge Lizard, Celemony Melodyne Plugin, iZotope Ozone. Perhaps some others, but its not just an NI thing for certain. Its a bug.

Can someone from Live acknowledge the change in behavior as either a bug or at least explain why the program does this now? All we're asking for is to retun the use of the spacebar regardless of what window has the application focus. F9 would be nice as well.

Hi,

I'll move this thread away, in favour of that one, as it seems a general issue. It seems that it only happens on Mac:

Please post details there, if needed.
