There are still the Lessons from Live 7. (First topic: New in Live 7)
[8.0b11]

This may be a related issue- I installed 8.0b11, and the Lessons View says "No Lessons are installed in your current Library location."

In previous betas of Live 8, the Lessons were automatically installed with Live. Has something changed?

To avoid confusion with previous versions of Live, I uninstalled all previous beta 8 versions, as well as all Live 7 versions on this computer. I also deleted all Ableton folders that I could find on my hard drives.

I then installed a fresh copy of 8.0b11. There are still no Lessons when Live launches, after it installs its Live Packs.

I looked at your thread and while there is a Lessons folder in between the Grooves and Presets folders, there is nothing in the Lessons folder other than a subfolder called "Live Pack Banners". There is nothing in this folder, either. [correction- there is a file "L8_Library.tif", but this seems to be just a small graphic] The Lessons View still says "No Lessons are installed in your current Library location."

First I dublicated my library 7 folder and then installed L 8 to that folder.
Maybe this was wrong?

Also in my Browser/Library there are the Live 7 Lessons.

Interesting. I couldn't find them in b11 either. Just downloading b12 now - perhaps they'll turn up.

I started with B11 and didn't have any Lessons. I just downloaded B12, and still no Lessons. What version were the Lessons in, and is there any way to load them now?

One of the Ableton folks, Friedemann, mentioned that the Lessons were inadvertently left out of recent betas, in this thread:

He didn't mention anything about when they will return. Hopefully, they will be back in the next beta, so that we can test them further.

I don't know if there's a way to install the previously-available version of the Lessons with the current beta; there probably is, but it might not be a good idea to mix different versions of the Live Packs while we're testing- it could lead to considerable confusion. In fact, for each beta, I delete all previous versions of Live on my system, so that I know I'm only testing elements of the current version.
