Ableton Forum

New to the forum and ableton in general...

My partner and I have been concocting a new live PA setup and to our dismay realized that neither ableton nor reason can serve as a midi master... is there any way around this???

The 1.5 release of Ableton will work as either master or slave. I have tried both and it actaully runs really well as the master clock. However, in my live rig I am using my hardware sequencer as the master clock...just in case my laptop crashes, everything else can keep chugging away.
