[4849] b12 - crashes, now without crash log generated

Frankly the beta-12 has caused me the most trouble of any of them so far. I've had about 5 - 6 crashes in tonight's session alone. The last two opened a window saying "a serious error has occured" and then upon re-starting live, *no* crash log was created. ? The previous crashes occasionally opened an "Ableton C++" window for a moment before killing everything. Those created a crash log, at least. Very weird behavior.

I'm using mostly native instruments plugins (battery, kontakt, absynth) drum racks, and ext. instruments with Reason running as slave. The mix is fairly plugin intensive but no different than anything I've done before.

So I thought I'd share this stuff with Ableton, and now the "bug snapshot" command doesn't even work, which I think I saw someone else mention around here. So I'm just kinda stuck.

I have had this with Reaktor crashing, the first time it happened a crash file was created, the second time it started, there was no crash file created. I wonder if the crash is caused by an identical problem then Live somehow knows this, and a crash file is not needed? I am hoping that they get the Native instruments stuff stable soon....

Yes me too. Kontakt has been a pain in the ass. But I don't really understand why it's a problem -- this NI stuff always worked smoothly for me in Live7. I guess a lot can change version to version.

I sold all my native instruments software. Got tired of waiting for working bug-free versions.
