Midi Controller with Fixed interval position rotaries?

Hi,

Anyone know of any Midi Controller that has rotaries knobs AND for each turn you can feel it lock into the next position, and so on...Sorry can't think of the word to discribe this,,,

Imagine using a rotary, for example, to flick through the Chain selector in an instrument/effects rack. I'd like to physically feel the resistance on the knob of selecting the next 'Chain' instead of having to look at led lights or just wait to hear what effect the knob turn has has to whatever parameter i'm switching too...

I appreciate each interval could range from 0 - 127 but you can also change the MIN MAX values to suit the controller...I think this would be cool, and i'm hoping and am sure they're out there...Please spread the knowledge!!!

Cheers

S.

The Axiom line by M-Audio has those little guys. They are also "endless rotary encoders", which may not be what you want.

Don't think you can find regular pots that are not smooth.
