Anyone using a newer Macbook?

I'm just wondering how the newer Macbooks run Live. I'm picking one up on Wednesday; anybody have any problems - even with a stock model?

I'm excited as Live is completely new territory for me. I've been a stalwart Cubase for Mac user since 2002 and the switch has been a long time coming. I'm also interested to see how it will handle the Virus TI Desktop.

Any input would be cool, and hello everyone in Ableton land!

Got a new Mac Book a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely no problems with it. It runs really in fact, even against my Mac Pro (which is no easy feat). 8O

i've got a new macbook and it runs live very very nicely. I can load up a ton of VST synths and effects and I've not been able to make it choke yet. get yourself a nice USB 2.0 audio interface and you're good to go.
cheers!

Running a new MBP here and it's rock solid for Live.

um... just how many synths are you loading up? and what are the synths you're using?

...very interested in MacBook Pro performance wise with Live.

Well, Live 7 works extremely well for me on my current MBP, and it's a first-gen. I wouldn't expect any less from a newer model.

The Live 8 beta feels kind of sluggish though. :?

It'll be time to upgrade to a new mac soon anyways. I'd been considering getting an iMac instead of a new MBP, but after much consideration, I'm thinking the MBP works better for me. I'll probably wait for the next update. Watching macrumors for that one.
