What are the best speakers you can get for between £400-£600

very hot speakers, don´burn your fingers.
Steffan,
You might need to confirm what you intend on doing with these speakers/monitors.
The one's you posted from HTFR are what I would regard as PA speakers for playing your music as loud as possible but may not be suitable for composing music on.
Or if you plan on not pissing your neighbours off quite so much and will be using them as reference monitors then things like the Adam A7 as our friend posted earlier might be the thing.
Im watching this thread as im planning on spending about the same for a set of reference monitors...the ones im looking at are the JBL LSR4300 series / Genelec 8030A / Adam A5....im sure there will be a few more quoted in here within the next few days.

You cannot go wrong with JBL, but I would imagine the prices (in Europe) would be astronomical, due to import tariffs & shipping costs.
DJ MC is a northern California disc jockey entertainer who takes pride in playing no cheesy music at weddings in Sacramento.
Well a mate of mine has a set of the Alesis Monitor One....he uses them for Dj with and he has even used them at gigs for monitoring in the dj booth.
They also seem pretty good nearfield monitors for composing with although Ive not done a mixdown with them to see how much 'colouring' they might have to the music.
