DRUM RACK: automatically map when scroll!!!!

Guys, sorry if this has been answered, but it's fucking killing me.
i"ve been trying to figure this out for ages.

I had previously given up, but now am reaching out to you guys.

Watch the video on drum racks and go to about 1:20 where he says "No matter where you're scrolled, the pads on your pad controller automatically match the pads on-screen."

He says that, and that's it!

How does one pull this off with, say, an MPD24?

Help much appreciated.

you've got to have the controller enabled under instant mapping (top section of midi prefs)

and have the blue hand on the device

I know exactly how to do this with an M-Audio Trigger Finger. Simply select factory patch 1 and it just works. Can't help with the MPD24, but I wanted to mention that it does work with the Trigger Finger because a) it does work as advertised when configured properly and 2) the solution is most likely something simple - like selecting the proper patch.
