[4926] inconsistent Arrangement marker behavior (mouse/kbd)

The Arrangement markers function differently depending on the way you activate them (clicking on a marker vs. pressing a key you have mapped to the marker).

To try it out:

1) create a marker at 1.1.1

2) map a qwerty keyboard key to it

3) click somewhere in the project to move the orange position marker off 1.1.1

4) start and stop project playback

5) Now, as the project is not playing, the marker functions differently depending on whether you press the mapped key or click on the marker arrow.

If you click on the marker with the mouse, the orange position cursor is moved to 1.1.1, and when you start playback, the project will start playing from 1.1.1.

If you press the mapped key, the orange position marker is again moved to 1.1.1, but the position where you started playback last time is now marked with a green arrow. When you start playback, the project will start playing from that point, not 1.1.1.

I would expect the first behavior (starting playback from 1.1.1) in both cases.

Hi,

This is a bug. The play position should coincide with the insertion mark, regardless how it is set in the arranger. The play position should differ from the insertion mark/standby selection only if the insertion mark is set in the detail view.

Amaury

Thanks!

With the other playback position bug already fixed in b14, and this one being confirmed as a bug, that takes care of all my playback position worries for now :)

Hi,

This is fixed for a while now. I moved the topic away. Please open a new one if you experience other problems.

Amaury
