who samples their band on stage?

I've been looping my percussion player. My process kinda sucks still because I can't manage to get low latency and I've tried all the settings with driver error compensation, buffer size, track delay, etc. (firestudio project, macbook pro, 2.6ghz)

So my process is
1- set up my set "the kid beyond way", check the list of tips and tricks to figure that out.
2 record loops of my perc player
3 warp his loop right after he plays it (click the last warp marker, then move over the first warp marker, and if he plays a bad loop, move some of the middle ones)

The other cool thing I've done is record him on kalimba, then slice to midi right away and trigger it back to the crowd. (this works really well on kalimba and probably other melodic instruments like that)

So who else samples their band live? loops, drones? What are you tricks or do you have any links to other threads where there is a better set up than the kid beyond way? THanks.

Hey

I use my Kaosspad 3 for sampling the band , the drummer plays with a click-track from Live an I sample on the fly with the KP. If I have some really outstanding shit I bounce it to my hard disc and use it again in Live

so do you record the drummer with one mic right into the kp3?
