Korg Kontrol 49 setup in Live 7.0.14

Hi everyone,
can somebody explain me (dumb guitar player who has only a small knowledge of MIDI) how I setup my Korg Kontrol 49 keyboard that it works like it should?
I tried to do a dump out of Live like described in the helpfile several times, but it didn´t work.
I can use the keyboard but not the controllers. But that´s what I bought it for!
Maybe one of you experienced Kontrol users can give me a step-by-step instruction of how this works. I am quite sure that I didn´t assign the ports correct in Live´s preferences.
Im running Live 7.0.14 on a WinXP SP3 PC if this does matter...
