Bladerunner soundtrack
Re: Bladerunner soundtrack
the Final Cut,
all the way.
For the directors cut they only had a few days to reassemble it, at that point interest in the film and the idea of re-cutting was not something that anyone wanted to spend a great deal of time and money on.
For the Final Cut they did the same things but better, in fact they even got Harrison Ford's son to stand in so they could shoot some more footage!

Re: Bladerunner soundtrack
I was searching for blu-rays at amazon, and found this 25th anniversary version of the soundtrack:
http://www.amazon.com/Blade-Runner-Tril ... 433&sr=8-4
"Blade Runner Trilogy: 25th Anniversary is a 3-CD set which - for the first time - puts all the pieces together, providing the complete music from the film and a lot more besides.
CD 1 features the original and remastered soundtrack as it first appeared in 1994, twelve years after the film was released. The second CD contains all the remaining music from the film that did not appear on the original 1994 soundtrack, plus two bonus tracks ('One Alone' and 'Desolation Path'). None of this material has been released before. The third and final disc will be of real interest to Vangelis fans, as it contains an entire album of newly written material composed by Vangelis to mark the 25th anniversary of Blade Runner. The music is strong and flowing, and retains the dark, atmospheric sense of the original score. There are some intriguing spoken word contributions too, from Ridley Scott, Roman Polanski, Oliver Stone and a host of distinguished actors, personalities and world dignitaries."

Re: Bladerunner soundtrack
ok me too. fuck that shit is weird, somebody needs to do some research into that cause that movie exploits some kind of glitch in the human brain that makes it start to crave nothing but chinese food.Nick the Zombie wrote:Ok, glad I'm not the only one!Geezus wrote:Does anyone else here get a profound urge to eat chinese food whenever they watch Blade Runner or is it just me?

Re: Bladerunner soundtrack
What a fantastic and refreshing thread... just mention blade runner or vangelis and all bets are off.
Among my favorite all time for certain.
This soundtrack, jean michel jarre's - zoolook, and tangerine dream were probably my biggest (non-pop music) electronic influences.
thanks for bringing that warm feeling back.. tomorrow its gonna be me, harrison ford and replicas.
