Hi everyone,

When I try to upgrade to Live for with my Ableton Live Delta program that I got bundled with my M-Audio music hardware it says this:

Fatal error: XML-RPC fault #1: Exe.Error:User exception: Invalid serial number in /var/www/www.ableton.com/web/_common/includes/serial/upgrade.inc on line 10


Invalid serial number? I'm not quite sure what to do now.

Was the upgrade you bought specifically for Delta owners? The cost to upgrade from Delta to Live 4 is (or was when I asked the abletons a few weeks ago) $200 more than from previous full versions of Live to Live 4. It's the same price as upgrading from Delta to 3, then 3 to 4.

You'll probably need to get the Delta to 3 upgrade, then install that first. Or maybe there's an alternative. Try contacting the ableton ordering people Monday, they'll be able to tell you more than I can.
