uad-1's 1176LN on the master bus and you have fireworks. Anyone else seeing this?

Yes - but I was only getting it on just the first beat of exports from arrangements - (see my post and waveform screengrab in the beta forum form a few days ago). Are you getting it constantly?[/i]

yeah, i'm getting it constantly in Live but not in nuendo. looks like i have to dig into why this is happening... not my idea of fun, but it's turned out to be a constant ritual as soon as some component changes. urrghh

Well - not here either. Anymore.. Sometimes, it depends on the config of the card & latencycomensation... I run Live 4.01 (as mainhost with Reason 2.5 in rewiremode) with UAD-1, where i use the same limiter as you as my main mastereffect paired with PultecPro (and some UAD-1 on Sends)..nothing anymore here, after reading a lot in every pdf about the subject - from Universal to Yamaha & so on...
- the crackles happened before here too, as you see, but after changing the buffersize in both UAD-1's Performance Monitor & Live 4 (and my main asio-bufferconfig/size..), the cracles disappaired - at last..! So i cross my heart every time i boot up my studio, until i'm absolutely shure i've solved this nightmare!
My DAW: Yamaha mLAN through a Presonus Firestation (1394) on a Intel Pentium 4 Prescott, 3.2Ghz HT (L2-1mb) 800fsb, 2Gb ram, HD's: 120Gb s-ata & 250Gb usb2, all partitions' FAT 32, + 2 monitors on agp (unfortunately) & UAD-1 (1 card only) 24/48 - the rest of my DAW's irrelevant for now.
Well, i recommend UAD-1 a lot!! Really juicy sound on those cards;)

I have powercore/O1x (mlan) - had the same problem- Its Mlan causing it (its a bug hog and takes CPU)- I know as I have run PoCo/live and Emu 1212 no problem at low latency....
Hopefully new Mlan drivers will (one day) solve the problem-
Try turning off bus mastering for your AGP card- AGP cards are the bigest problem (or rather there drivers) at hoging the bus-

Thanx, i will, but i can't find a way to solve this..it's not possible with PowerStrip - it just notice about the agp bus master with a marked checkbox -can't seem to uncheck it/disable it from there..
- Any ideas..? (Nvidia FX5600 on 8xagp, by the way..)

If you or any with mLAN check out: http://.www.mlancentral.com , there is a new firmwareupgrade to mLAN2 & mLAN tools to match the new drivers. I'm pretty shure mLAN2 supports HT, but the cracles still there, but in a different way - i hope it's the new Graphic Patchbay, the ASIO settings and/or the UAD-1-buffers, or maybe the PCI-latency on the 1394-adaptercard..(tried all exept PowerStrip - thats next now!) - but it crackles with UAD-1 DISABLED now, so i guess the new mLAN2-protocol & drivers/tools cope with Powered plugs

(UAD-1 & TC PoCo)

But be careful, a lot of people have their mLAN-devs trashed after the firmw.upgr - it's not a simple procedure, but i managed to get it right. if you wonder how, i can write you a detailed mail - with releasenotes.. - this update supports ALL mLAN-devs on the market (PresonusFirestation is hard to upgrade - after what i have been warned and told..)
- I drop a thread at this forum as well to inform/warn others about this update..
Cheers,
myzt

cannot use the UAD..and it doesn't being effected by latency settings!
