help, my live plug-ins dont have presets

i dont get the list of presets whenever clicking on the drop down menu 'factory settings' for Live's built-in plugins.
my 'factory presets' folder is under the 'Live 4.0.1 osx' folder; so i think that should be correct
i am on live 4.01 on osx 10.2.8
any suggestions are appreciated!!
