ok
not sure if this is a bug or me doing something wrong with the new crossfade
well .. im kinda finding some of the things with the crossfades difficult to understand but i will be dragging the end of a clip when two are next to each other with a crossfade overlapping and live crashes
also sometimes i will move a cross fade curve where two are joined to get a different crossfade effect and the second clip will not produce any audio even though the crossfade curve shows it should be as does looking at the waveform in the clip view as the timeline marker is moving over it

indeed
thanks - explains the crashes and i think the volume disappearing must have been a bit of a bug thing too

im really finding various aspects of working with the crossfade loops illogical - i will post up more tomorrow as im pretty munted now but one thing that is strange/annoying/a bug maybe
if you look at the pic
when i set a loop from 16 - 17 , track 1 will fade out, track 2 fades in but in the loop only track 2 plays - unless you move a different clip somewhere in track 1 or you move the crossfade curve on the first clip in track 1, then it seems to trigger some sound before it disappears again
however setting a loop from 19 - 20 will loop play back the clips in track 1 and 2 - the end of the clip in track 2 and the beginning of a new clip in track 1 are looped and playing fine ..
also im finding it difficult to know how far i can drag a crossfade curve into a clip before i hit the red line which tells me i can go no further - im more confused when it comes to consolidated clips ... anyways, that's another thread i guess
ah shit - i just realized you cant upload a pic from your desktop - but you get the idea from the description above ?? !! ??

Hi,
Indeed, it seems to be related to the bug causing Live to crash when resizing a clip over another one. Please check the next beta, that should be fixed.
If you have other problems, please open a new thread. It makes it very difficult for us to follow up otherwise.
Regards,
Amaury

hey Amaury
just incase you are re-reading this thread
i recreated the other problem that i was going to open a new thread with and today it is working
i kinda got to grips with the logic and work flow of the crossfades today so maybe it was something i was doing wrong
