After the PM from Bernd I went to the Users area to DL some sets.
All of them are empty (Angstroms, Gerhard's, Hoffman2k's).
Guessing bug rather than coincidence... or i did something really silly...

They aren't empty. What did you do exactly?

My bad - thought I had updated to b16 but hadn't.
Downloading 16 now and will try again

yep with 16 it works as expected.

I have about 80% blanks in my presets.... The names are all there but they're just empty. It's just the actual instrument though. Instrument racks, Drum racks and Impulse patches work fine (except Impulse only has 8 patches).

I uninstalled all old betas using the default uninstall settings prior to installing this Beta 16. Should I just do another uninstall and a fresh download with reinstall or should I post images of the patches with the blank settings. I'm on Win XP SP3

This has nothing to do with what was reported in that thread. We do need one thread per issue, really, otherwise it makes it close to impossible to follow up. The problem you are reporting has been reported here, and there is a fix for it:
