3.04 session in 4.01 is stuttering

I tried to play a 3.04 live session in 4.01 and it was a lot of stuttering problems, lot of time that i launch a clip, the sound would jump out of time like it had the "hocket", it doesn't do it all the time but on some of the clips, i'm thinkig maybe it is a ram load clip problem, but this never happened in 3.04. This was done with the built in sound card of a powerbook ti 1gigahertz with 1g ram and OSX.3.3. Has anybody experienced that?
