drum rack macros: global filters and individual start pts. ?

I would imagine this has been covered, but I'll be damned if I can find anything about it:
Is there a way to set up a default dragged-to-drum-rack default so that when I drag a drum sample to a drum rack pad I can control the start and end point of the simpler of the pad I play and only that pad from the drum rack macros?
For example: I drag a kick to a pad, and when i hit the key corresponding to that pad I can tweak the macro control of the drum rack and change only the sample length of that one pad's simpler, and when I drag a snare to a different pad and hit the key for the snare I can then use the same macro control in the drum rack to tweak the sample length of the snare without affecting the settings of the kick?
Ideally i'd like to be able to drag my sampled hits to drum rack pads, play a simpler on a pad, and then quickly tweak it via my bcr2000, hit another pad, tweak, etc.
