Best collection of Single Hits for Impulse

Post by MarkH » Mon Jul 26, 2004 5:02 pm

Sure would be nice to have a CD or two of both electronic and accoustic single hits for Impulse. Does anyone know of any worthy collections? Free or for purchase, I'm game.

Thanks,
MarkH

personally, I like the E-Lab stuff. They dont make drum sample CD's per se but they always include an excellent selection of hits. Check out Smokers Delight 3 disc set (mostly construction kits and loops but the one shot samples are really good) and Nu Directions (same deal).

Check out Doru Malaia'a site - http://www.dorumalaia.com
He's got lots of sample packs to download for free. He gets a lot of traffic so the server is slow... check out the Superdrums demo. i dig it. And the full CD is only $29US for 8000 drums samples!

They didn't include any quality sets with the upgrade for both instruments???

I like the included kits and presets, but you could always want more and make your own. I think I prefer doing my own sounds, but I know it isn´t so easy if your style is more acustic.
