ableton loads slow!

its loading up my projects very slow..and sometimes ableton crashes for a while and then suddenly the project shows up...how can i fix this??

what type of soundcard are you using?
if it is an external usb this may be the culprit. try powering off and back on, then get back into live.

its a hp pavilion laptop with:
4 gb ram
nvidia geforce 8600m gs
intel core duo cpu t8100 @ 2.10 ghz
realtek high definition audio
