Hi! ive just bought my LV2 and am trying it out in Ableton Live 7 LE 7.0.14 (trial for now). I've hooked it up with this:
Macbook (Mac OSX v. 10.5.6 // 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo // 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM)
DigiDesign Mbox 2
Faderfox LV2 via two midi cables.

problem is i cant get it to work, it wont recognize anything, i get no signal on Ableton at all. In the midi/sync pref ive put the "LV2 LX2 LC2 LD2" as control surface but i cant adjust inputs or outputs or sync signals.
can you help me out ?

When i go to my utility programs and run the midi/sync pref program on Mac it wont start, it gets an error!

I do have a similar setup except for the soundcard (I have a M-Audio Firewire 440) and I have a full version of Ableton Live 7. I didn't experience your problem, but I can help thinking to find a solution.

Let's start from the beginning : does your audio works fine ?
Do you have the lastest drivers for your soundcard ?
Is your soundcard directly connected to your Mac ? (no usbhub)
Start with only using one MIDI cable : from soundcard MIDI in to your Faderfox MIDI out.
Connect and poweron everything before launching Live.
