My workflow for drums is letting a gm drum sampler play while I try different gm midi files.

I´d like to do this with electronic drums in Live. I´ve heard that Impulse isn´t responding to gm. Is there another drum machine in Live that directly (I´m to lazy to do any mapping) respond to single track (not multi) gm midi files?

yes, the Drum Rack presets work very well with GM drums.

if you need you midi files converted i use http://www.toontrack.com/drumtracker.asp and for a few bucks would transfer them for you.
