When editing in piano roll view, I would like to be able to see the drum names (snare, kick ...) how do you do this?
thanks!

I'm not sure what EZD means. We're in an Ableton forum so I'm assuming that you want to see the names of the drums in the Ableton piano roll. Is that correct?
Live 7 does not display the names of the drums. Live 8 beta does. It helps out a lot.

I'm not sure this can be done with EZD. There is a way to make names show in the piano roll using sub-racks which you name yourself...but not sure how this would work with EZD, plus like I said it wouldn't be automatic anyways, you'd have to name them one by one.
Not sure if Live 8 will have proper drum mapping or not. Anyone?

Not true.
live 7 & 8 work the same: the names of the drums are displayed in note editor
only if they are housed in a drum rack. otherwise they're displayed as notes.
so to the OP, unless you put an EZ instance on every drumrack pad and reroute the midi to each drum sound, the answer is "you can't"

EZD is EZ Drummer by ToonTrack. A really nice drum sampler if you are looking for one.
