[5245] Crash on renaming certain macros

Crash on renaming certain macros.

To reproduce:

Open ->Drum Rack -> HiHat -> HiHat-808-Closed,
open device-tab on Drum Rack, click on Macro 1 and try to rename it - Live crashes

You can open the device-tab on the Instrument Rack, too, and assign a parameter to Macro 1.
The value will be displayed correctly but renaming is still impossible.

Indeed with b22, trying to rename an unlabeled macro knob from a rack (instrument or drum) that is part of another racks chain causes Live to crash. A hint that Live has a problem is that when you hit command-R while an unlabeled knob from a nested rack is selected, the cursor doesn't appear, Live will crash as soon as you hit enter (if you don't, it won't).

If you drop the problematic inner rack onto a new track (hence "unnesting" it, the problem persists), however if you drop the same rack from the instrument device, there's no problem.

Yes, this was already fixed with beta24. Sorry for not reporting.
Although there still was a minor glitch, namely, that the cursor wouldn't appear under the macro knob before entering text (under the conditions that previously provoked the crash). This is a very minor incovenience though.
I'll try with b26.

Hi,

I moved the topic as the original bug is fixed. Please open a new discussion if you find a new problem.
