Texas Live Meetup Party

I'd like to propose a meetup of Texas Live users. We should have an evening where we book a bar in a central location, perhaps Austin, and have an Ableton night. Everyone shows up with their lappies and plays for 30-60 minutes. No rules. Anything goes.

Who's in?

Ok, I'll bump this for a week and make sure we get as many as possible, and then we can organize and figure out a place and a time and make this happen.

I would love to do this. I just started a monthly at a venue called Ruta Maya on South Congress in Austin. I use ableton 7, korg sampler, and a microkorg. Half live PA half DJ set.

Coffee and beer.....excellent sound system. Great vibes.

I could try and get a night locked down for this, or be willing to help in anyway possible.

myspace.com/trypset for some demo mixes

great idea by the way.

Corpus Christi checking in.

This sounds cool. Even if I don't book I might drive up to check it out.

Keep me posted however we are going to keep each other informed.

Regards,

I'll prolly collect all interested email addresses, find a good location, and then set up time slots. Should be fun.

cool thing is something like this is what we need to get the group Rolling.

Great plan!

I live in Austin and would like to attend. Don't think I can get enough material together in time to perform, but maybe at a future party...

Dude, you can do 20-30 mins...come on! just throw in a beat and slice it and map beat-repeat on a controller and masturbate with the other hand...I'd watch that for 20 mins...

Everyone interested PM me your name, number, and email.

i fucking hate texans.

keep it on the weekend, m'kay, and i might check it out. but don't expect a performance, unless i get REAL drunk... and that's not the performance you are seeking.
but i might not be adverse to some freestylee on the mic.

Like I said, bring your lappie, and anything goes, no rules.

Heh, that would be a truly hellish performance!

Unfortunately, I've only owned Live for a little over a month and have one 5-minute track ready to go. I haven't really even touched any of the performance aspects of Live.

I'd love to do a short set when I have something a little more worthwhile, but I'm psyched to meet other users and musicians and see what folks are doing. I've lived in Austin for almost a decade and am still completely ignorant of any electronic/dance scene here.
