Just got Maschine yesterday and got the template working to control Live7. This works great.....transport control, ability to switch between Pattern & Scene control.

However, I can't seem to find a way to control more than the 16 Scenes associated with the pads. The group buttons don't function the same in Midi controller mode. And the arrow keys only seem to work when controlling Patterns (not Scenes). Perhaps this is just a limitation, but it seems like it would be a simple thing to allow control of more than 16 Scenes.

Also, there doesn't seem to be any control over tempo. Which to me is very strange since there's a tempo controller and a tap tempo button on the Maschine itself. The Tempo controller actually controls Pan settings when used with L7.

Overall, I really like the Maschine so far. WAYYYY cooler than the MPD24 & trigger finger I had previously. Not sure if it's worth $600, but I had gear lust and had to have it

Ok, this question falls into the category of RTM

I just looked at the manual for the Controller Editor in the Ableton Live setup section. It clearly says that the next groups of scenes can be accessed via the Loop, <, >, Grid buttons (ie: Hold Loop button, get the next 16 scenes, etc). I haven't tried this yet, but I'll report back and let you all know how it works.

Nothing in the manual about adjusting L7's tempo from Maschine. Hopefully that's something that can be tweaked from within the Controller Editor.

Maschine as a plugin syncs to the host's tempo, and not the other way around.
And, you can have up to 64 scenes in a project.
