'This audio unit plug-in could not be opened...'

Just transferred all my plugins over to my new Mac Pro and I'm getting the above message when I try to open lots of third party audio units. Has anyone else come across this? Some open fine but lots just will not load... could it be anything to do with permissions as I have copied them across from another machine?
