Got a new track that I'd like to get some feedback on - it's under 3mb, so it's not too big a download. Check it out at http://www.djrx.com/tracks/ .

i liked it! the wide stereo panning of the drums really tripped my head out with headfones.. i'm really susceptible to stereo in music.

also, altho it didn't change much, the short length and the addition of interesting sounds kept me interested! make more!

I actually made the track for the kvr-vst/bitshift 'win phatmatik pro' composition. I created the loops with Phatmatik in Cubase SX and sequenced them in Live with fx. The length was prescribed by the contest (3 min or less), and the lack of any melodic development was due to me not liking their melodic loops very much and only pulling out the little snippets I used. I plan on reworking it over the next week and give it some melody to go with the rhythm - something more suitable to dance to.

Thanks to both of you for the positive vibes!

cool cool..
i frequent the kvr forums often under the nick 'johann'

i hope you win or place in the contest as i have phatmatic pro and its freekin killer. totally does away with recycle. i just wish you could drag and drop midi grooves in Cubase SX.. maybe a future release.

I tried a couple of posts in kvr for track feedback in the last year and just ended up with a few people complaining about anything over 3mb, without any useful critiques about the music.

I'd love to get a copy of Phatmatik Pro - it's much easier to use something that can mess with any loop while working on a track.

Now I'm wondering why my web server seems to be down - hopefully that will be taken care of tomorrow.

most the peeple on that board are from europe and they are mostly on dialup, also, if you're not a regular, they'll ignore you.

nice bunch of peeple once you get "in".

Apologies to anyone who tried to download the track this weekend - the ISP's server failed and my site was down until this morning.

jdg: more tracks will be forthcoming in the next few weeks!

The one you heard is now listed as the '1st iteration' so you can see how the track developed.
