i've been trying to assign the buttons beneath the faders on my oxygen49 to mute/solo/arm and i can't get it to do anything at all.
i know that live lets you assign these features to midi so i know that the problem is with my oxygen49. or its a stupid mistake on my part. but i'm stumped at this point.
any advice?
anyone been able to assign these buttons on an oxygen to something in live?

go into enigma ( the editing software that came with it ) and make sure these buttons are set up correct in there ( might be able to set it from the soft ware into a free scene ) I had a m audio oxygen many moons ago and had to do this for live but do not remember the whole setup as it was years ago and on live 5.

If it works like the m-audio Axiom (which probably does), try first to use the "dump" button in the live preferences to setup your controler

dump won't work. i thought about that last night when i was going over midi setup in the manual but the dump button is grey-ed out.

i'll have to get the software disk out and look for enigma. i tried installing the drivers a while ago but OS X told me it didn't need the drivers when i put the disk in.

thanks for the advice

In Live's Midi preferences, have you enabled the Remote button for the Oxygen? (Track In enables the keyboard keys, Remote In enables the knobs and buttons)

yep its all set up right in preferences.

i think i need to open the software and try editing it.
when ever i assign those buttons it comes up in the midi window as pitchbend something or other with values like a knob or fader has. so something is up with my keyboard.

can't do it till i get off work though.

So those buttons are probably already mapped to some standard MIDI CC. I think you should be able to change the mappings to non-used midi CC in Enigma, but I heard that's not simple (thus the name of the soft maybe ? :-))
