I upgraded to 7 Suite after Jan. 15th. That qualified me for a free upgrade to 8 Suite...right? When I go to shop for upgrades, I'm not seeing that option. All my serial #'s are registered. Am I missing something? Hate to be impatient, but c-c-c-c'mon.

me too upgraded from live 7 to live 7 suite on 06/02 and was lead to beleive id get upgrade free, am i missing something here?

i believe that only corresponds to the full purchase. not an upgrade to suite 7

I disagree, if that is the case, then Ableton seriously mislead their customers.
If they require additional money that is absurd.
I would have just upgraded to 8 and been done with it.
I don't have a lot of scratch, but if they're hurting that bad, I could have loaned them a couple of bucks....

eh yeh. that is the answer..... i asked a similar question regarding the free operator..... i was entitled too but you had to be a new user getting live 7. but upgrading to 7 meant i lose out.

Wait, wait, wait... Ok, I see your point. However, I REALLY hope that is not the case. I read through the details of that promotion MANY times before upgrading to 7 Suite, and that was NOT conveyed at all. Additionally, I'm looking at the clever little upgrade tables in the FAQ section and NO WHERE does it stipulate that an Upgrade from 7 to 7 Suite wouldn't qualify for the deal.

actually i seen that page too and thats why i was thinking to go from l7 to l7 suite would get me the upgrade to l8 free as soon as it came out!

I did the same thing, they had a nifty looking table that shown that going from L7 to suite entitled on to L8.
I'm sure they aren't preying on their own customers, that's what banks and federal reserves do.

i feel ya in the way it wasn't conveyed in the table saying YOU HAVE SUITE 7 UPGRADE // YOU WANT SUITE 8

i personally just bought Live 7 box suite last week! out comes the debit card for my upgrade to box 8 suite..obviously i already have eic2//drum essentials from the box 7 but hey who doesn't like a new box and printed manual!! and wait stickers!!! i wish that box 8 suite had different software other than the previously boxed eic2//drum essentials in box 7 suite. maybe ...

So I hope Ableton addresses this soon, maybe in all the mayhem of wahooz and thank yous' they forgot about us.
