Korg nano coupon for Live 7 -> 8 upgrade?

Anyone know if the Korg Nano coupons -
http://www.ableton.com/korg-nano - would work with an Ableton 7 -> 8 upgrade? Although not stated, the coupon DID work with a 6 -> 7 upgrade.

Not sure if it would work automatically. You could try of course. But it's definitely worth sending an e-mail to ableton with the coupon code you have and they may issue a new code good for the upgrade while cancelling the old one. Might take em a bit to get back to you as they are probably swamped with e-mails due to the release. I'm sure it would be worth a day or two wait for a response if you could save $50.

Unfortunately I e-mailed Ableton last month and they said "Thanks for your email.You can feel free to use the Korg nano coupon at our webshop, however it cannot be used on purchasing upgrades"

Either it's a bug in their system, or they just decided to allow it despite saying they wouldn't on the nano coupon page, but they DID take the coupon code for my 6 -> 7 upgrade.
I think at this point we'll have to have someone try it and find out.

Well, I've just tried it and I put in the code. It said "Your shopping cart has issues. Sorry, the coupon code you entered is only valid with Live 8, Suite 8 or Live 7 LE" lol, now I have flipping issues
what's new. I would be very annoyed if it starts working after I paid the full amount....
