Live 8 suite won't load

I've downloaded Live 8 suite 7 times and still get the same problem. I try and open the application and as soon as I see the Live environment show, it closes the app. Ive tried this ovr the last 2 days with no luck. What do I do?

hi,
What OS are you running on as well as the platform (mbp, pc, etc..). That may help us help you better. Also, did you try deleting the preferences.cfg file? Give that a shot. I installed it onto a desktop (XP Pro SP3) and laptop (XP Pro SP3 as well) with no issues and it loaded up fine on both systems (core 2 duo cpu's 4 and 2gb mem respectively). Give us as much info on your setup/pc as you can as that will help us help you out.

please try to delete the files 'preferences.cfg' and 'template.als' from this folder:
user/library/preferences/ableton/live 8.0.1
is live starting now?
