oh, and i know it's the ARIA awards. but, most people don't know the ARIA,but they know the word GRAMMY. which is the equivelant in Australia
so explain "and there is no 'best new international act' category"
do me a favor, look it up on the internet.
i forfeited everything associated to my group. we can go on and on...
that didn't make any sense, you're saying you won a category that doesn't exist for an awards ceremony that doesn't exist. you explained that you "just called it the grammys" so people would understand but you haven't explained why the category you won doesn't exist.
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

This board is getting hilarious.

cperezzz your "A-list" artist definition cracks me up. Most of the pop artists wouldn't know a pan pot from a fader.

Choosing any equipment depends on your needs / budget / and preferences, not just based on what some "pros" use. Tell us your recording / producing wants/ needs.

my music has been aired around the world
so i suppose i am professional
i earn money from music
it feeds my family, and has bought me a nice house, and a nice car, and a studio full of really expensive gear
so that is reasonably professional.
but i dont feel it
i dont actually need a sequencer because i can really play.
I suppose thats proffesional.

thing is tho...
i dont use live...

but here goes...i am about to :)
just got v6 from a friend....
He is a real pro. AND THEY are using reason NOW...:P

and FINALLY a word of wisdom for the originator of this post.
If you always do things because more popular ppl have do them, then you will never be popular and never be PRO!! only a copy cat.
WHERE HAVE I HEARD THAT LOOP BEFORE? loool
im going to push this software to the limit and see what it does.....
with kindness to all musicians

i know many top artist use it as their main daw, nameing them dosen't make the software greater, doesn't really matter what you use , final result is the thing to go for. i spoke with someone sayng that square pusher made is first and second record without a computer, does that makes him unprofessional? i heard the beatless use to be dawless too :)

cperezzz wrote:can anyone here tell me what professional artist, producer (i'm talking A-LIST caliber professional) uses LIVE as their main DAW,let me repeat..."main DAW"... so i can listen to what they've recorded and give me some hope that LIVE is worth investing in?
and if i get no response, i'm assuming the answer will be nobody has used it.
Why don't you download the demo, make a quick song and give us some hope that you're worthy of Live. "Ask not what your DAW can do for you, but what can you do for your DAW." :D
In fact, Ableton now have enough customers and they are going to introduce a system just like this for the next version.
You must submit three tracks and you are only allowed to buy Live9 if your tracks are passed by judges the : Robert Henke, Sasha, Simon Cowell and Mariah Carey.

I think this is the only sensible solution. I mean, who wants to use some software that is also being used by a non-hitmaker ? Yuck !
