Never used live befor but I loved the 7 demo so decided to buy and waited for 8 to come out but I just can't get my head around the new warping.
Putting the first marker down accurately is really hard and I can't work out what's happening when I try to drag them and the whole sample is moving, is anyone else finding this hard or am I just being stupid!? (be kind!!)

You might check this thread. You can find lots of info on how to use the new warping engine and, despite all the ppl complaining about it, it works pretty well in Live 8 too. Actually, ppl are saying they're warping whole songs even faster now than in Live 7. It's a matter of setting the 1.1.1 on the first beat and choosing 'warp from here'.
