8.01 Phantom clip copy follows mouse cursor around

At least half a dozen times in a full work day I get the following:

I'm copying a clip in arrange or session view using the apple-drag method (or is it ctl? can't remember the modifier offhand), the clip copies fine on mouseup, but I still see the 'ghosted' clip copy attached to my mouse cursor.

I can no longer perform any operation that involves moving/copying/selecting clips until I shut down live, and no matter what I try, I cannot get rid of the ghosted clip following my cursor. I then get the OSX crash dialog after Live exits.

I'm on 10.5.6 on a 2.4ghz Macbook Pro using 8.01

I also can't replicate it as it appears to happen randomly.

FINAAAAAAAALLLLYYYYY. Somebody has the same issue I do. This is just ridiculous isn't it! I was beginning to think I was the only one. I started a post here about it a few days ago:

http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=112096

It happens to me randomly but frequently enough - maybe 7-10 times a day on average. I haven't received a response back from Ableton yet on this specific issue. Today it hasn't happened yet fortunately.

Now that someone else has proven that it's not specific to my Mac, let's try to keep this thread alive so Ableton support can chime in and recognize that the issue is prevalent to the Mac version of 8.0.1 in general.

Live 8.0.1
Mac Pro 8 Core, 16GB RAM
OS X 10.5.6

This is a bad one! Cant use live anymore because of this!
Fix this fast please!!!
Has anyone found workaround for this? Any key command? Any osx GUI preference setting?
