Alrighty, I finished my video game soundtrack. You can download it here:

I tried to keep classic sensibilities in mind when I wrote these. You won’t hear any rockin’ club beats like you do in a lot of chiptunes. All but two of them lack a proper ending to help further that game music feel. Instead each track repeats twice and fades out. If any transitions or harmonies seem a little wonkey, it was (hopefully) done on purpose. Some songs are more successful than others in capturing that classic feel, but overall I’m very happy with this.
I’ve heard many authors state that a lot of their stories surprise them and take them to unexpected places while they’re writing them. I was always thinking “Dude, you wrote the damn thing. You of anyone shouldn't be the least surprised how it turns out.” Well, now I know what they’re talking about. The frantic nature of this project (Which was conceived and created within the span of a week) led to many surprises. I’ve done more musically on this quick release than I have on all of my normal stuff put together! Ah, well.
If you’re interested, you can find a song by song breakdown here:

You can find two sample songs here: http://www.myspace.com/vlantis
Thanks to everyone who sent me kind words in my other threads. I never had more fun on a solo music project than I had with this. Hope you like it! (And if you don't, that's okay, too!)
