old mac midi question

Live, Reason, and some hardware are my everyday tools, but I'd like to do a project using some OLD macs I have access to.

I'd like to take some loops I've made on Live and rerecord or move them to a 68k mac and play them back.

Can anyone suggest (or share with me) a good platform for making a simple tool for sample playback, and recording software on a 68k mac? I'd like to do a project using several Se's or Classics I have laying around.

maybe look for an old version of Peak? actually Reason runs reasonably (no pun intended) well on older Macs like that.

Actually you're probably not going to run OS 9 on an SE, so scratch that plan.
