In MIDI track 1:
I add Groove Agent. Groove Agent has the ability to output MIDI note data as though you're playing a keyboard or triggers.

In MIDI track 2:
I add IMPULSE
Load a kit
Set the MIDI IN to be MIDI track 1 (Groove Agents output)

I start Groove Agent. It's MIDI note data should flow through to MIDI track 2 and play IMPULSE. NO MIDI DATA is flowing.

Midi output from VSTi's has never worked, not even during the beta. I sure wish it did though. I made a little drum sequencer in Synthedit for Drumatic which worked great in Bidule.

i´d also like this feature. wouldn´t call it a bug though. afaik cubase sx is the only host that supports this and maybe even groove agent is the only vsti supporting this. but more will probably come...

Good point... maybe not a bug, but a missing feature. I originally assumed that there was a bug that the MIDI wasn't routing to where I was directing it.

Yes, this would be very useful. I'm sure we'll see more MIDI producing plugins soon. It was only a few months ago that Steinberg released the full SDK for their MIDI VST implementation.

I'm hoping for this feature as well, I really like the ERA sequencer, it's a vsti with midi-out, and it'd go great with Live :)
