Hi People!

Need some help!

I tried to record some midi notes from my Evolution External Synth.
Everything OK, I saw that the notes was written, But when I tried to listen them without success. Than I tried to play midi on the other ch. ... and here everything Ok using the simpler.
Is the problem cause I didn't use the IMPULSE Midi Instrument?
Is it possible to record dry synth notes or I have to use a midi inst. like Simpler or Impulse and Drop any sampel into?

Matthew

Sounds like you simply have to properly direct the MIDI track to point to your external synth. (ie... correct MIDI port and channel)

Hi EnjoyRC!
I've done how you explained me and something works. It works that I could hear the sound of my synth while I was playing it. Than I tried to record some notes into Live. The notes from synth was recorded to Live, but after I tried to play what I recorded without success.

I connected my live:
Midi From: Usb Audio (This is my synth)
All Channels

Monitor: ON
Audio To: Ext Out

My thought. It might be a problem cause I connected my Synth through USB? Do you think that I will be better if I connect synth through Midi Port on my soundcard?

No, a USB MIDI connection is fine. After you record the MIDI successfully, where are you trying to send the MIDI information? Back to the original synth? Or elsewhere?

to play back your recorded notes, you need to put the monitor switch back to auto.

so...instead of putting monitor on 'on' put it on auto and ready record the channel. that will route midi to recording and to the vsti (or external synth).

turn off ready record to playback your clip

Thanks to both of you!

I've done how you tell me and it works. Thanks again
