Does anyone know why the Novation Remote SL controls Ableton and Reason simultaneously when in the 'Reason Template"? I have the unit setup as a control surface in ableton and am looking for a simple way to toggle between controling reason vs Ableton. (i CAN do this chaning the 'Control Surface Settings' in Ableton, but feel there must be a better way.

Also, is there a way to use Banks ith the Novation Remote SL? Ho can have fader control over the ninth fader in ableton???

Thanks for an feedback.

The Automap server lets you select focus and midi channels which should let you sort this out.

There is a way/s of doing it, you can find description in the SL manual or online on the Novation site. Sorry, I do not remember exact details, did it, use it, forgot exactly how. It takes few seconds to setup when you follow the description.

Hey, I know this topic is old, but did you ever figure out the solution to this? I'm encountering the same issue at the moment and I haven't been able to come across any clear-cut solutions. Also,

My main problem using the Remote SL in Live is that I cannot MIDI map the bottom row of knobs; they're completely useless. Except that when I ReWire Reason, these controls are Automapped to certain parameters of the currently selected device within Reason. Problem is, I can't figure out how to override the Automapped controls so that I can customize my sets for live performance with Reason Rewired to Live. Any suggestions?
