This applies only to AAS instruments and Live 8.01
When changing the octave from the controller, the volume on all AAS Suite Instruments (except Collision) will drop to -42db or -44db on the master instrument volume. At the same time another instrument-dependent parameter will change.
-Analog (Filter One Freq will change)
-Collision (Mallet Volume>Velocity AND Structure selection will change)
-Electric (Mallet Stiffness will change)
-Tension (Excitator type will change)
MIDI-OX reports the Octave Up/Down command from the controller as CC:Pan and CC:Harmonic Content.
Oxygen8v2 Octave Up/Down causes unwanted parameter changes
Re: Oxygen8v2 Octave Up/Down causes unwanted parameter changes
Hi ibbur,
does this happen in every set or just in a particular one?
Regardless of the answer to this question, please send a set in which this is reproducible to support@ableton.com
Just the .als file, samples are not necessary!
Thank you!
best,
dfi

Re: Oxygen8v2 Octave Up/Down causes unwanted parameter changes
This happens on any set. As you requested I am sending an als file to ableton support. I opened a fresh project, loaded up Analog, Collision, Electric, and Tension without preset selections. Then one at a time I armed each midi track, pressed the Octave +/- on the controller and the unwanted parameter changes occurred.
This behavior did not exhibit in L7 Suite.
I will include more details in the email accompanying the file. Thanks!
