I’m about to purchase 2 x Dell S2209W 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor ($159 each) any suggestions of using dual monitors with Mac book pro, or other recommended lcd monitor?

i didnt even know you can run 2 monitors. . i guess one would need some sort of a breakout cable for that? (as there is only one dvi port).

i have a cheap 17 lcd which is fine for a second. just bought a griffin elevator stand for the laptop which puts it one the same level as the monitor.

I'm using a 24" Dell(2407WFP), toghether with a BookEndz dockingstation.
Works great with my macbook pro.

I was in this quest before but this is only possible with a special adapter (kind of extern viedeocard splitter) I have forgotten the name though.
buy a 24" instead and you should be fine.

Matrox Dual/TripleHead?

Using a single Dell monitor here with my MBP, works great.

I second the advice above for a 24" - that's the size you need to start getting decent 1920x1200 resolution. I got a Samsung SyncMaster245BW, and recommend it highly.

Samsung 23" here.

yep, and if you buy it new it is almost the price of a good monitor.

Thanks guys..the Dell S2209W "bring" Full HD 1920 x 1080 (optimal) resolution, does this changed when it comes to Mac book pro via DVI ?
Anything i should consider before buying? most of my work would be Live and other music production...

I think the resolution if used as a main monitor (Mirror mode) will be something like 1900x1200 so make sure it supports that.

Think i'll go with ASUS MK241H Black 24" 2ms HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor (1920 x 1200) only $250 on newegg

Anyone use this one ?
