What are you trying to figure out? It is pretty straight forward. Carry one number of hits on top of another number. Say you carry a 6 on the toms and a 4 on the kick. You are then doing a 6/4 poly on your drums. Of course you can spread the 6 across what ever you want. Check youtube, there are some good videos out there about it.

Thanks guys!
oh, and bbman- the Pro is just a pisstake on the twits who come on and think that information is only valuable when it comes from people who are 'successful'.
..but now the mystique of Pro-ness has been ruined

Links for pro Polyrhythms? Sorry to lol but how about the dawn of mankind? 10,000 years ago Africa? Polyrhythms emerging with the first human communication and writing. I'd start there.
"I'm looking for PRO cave drawings only please."
I see a Monolith in your future.

polyrythmic groove is da bomb
Since I discovered Meshuggah I always tried to make electro tracks influenced by this.
but people on the dance floor don't really like it, so this is not my main productions...
only "side tracks". But one day... I'm sure I'll release something totally electro-polyrythmic, fuck the 4/4 binary narrow-minded dumb clubbers!

no, for electro tracks just my usual kits,
but for my (aborted) industrial electro metal side project, I used Addictive Drums (the demo version without all the kit elements). really nice. (AD, not my tunes, lol, you can listen to it here :
http://www.myspace.com/monstrejumoindus )
DFH did interest me, but at this time I had not he cash nor the real motivation to go that deep in "real" drums programming.
Now polyrythms are quite often included in my electro, but at the minimal level, just the bass line for example, I always keep a 4/4 kick base for the clubbers, but sometimes for the breaks I allow me a little more "floating groove", and then when the master riddim returns 4/4 with the bassline still "floating around", then...

that's huge!
polyrythmia is totally sick, I don't understand why so few people use it in fat kickin electro!
cheers
