Hi folks,

We just released the third beta version of the upcoming 8.0.2 bugfix update.
Every Live 8 owner can use this beta version.

As it is a beta, please remember to backup critical data before you use it.

Changes from Live 8.0.2b2 to 8.0.2b3:



Bugfixes:

Moving a so called 'dead' file from iTunes's playlist into Live would crash Live. [5422]

After missing samples would be found, the save button of the file manager could still be disabled. [5410]

Putting third party plug-in with MIDI out ports on the master track and route the MIDI output of the master track into a MIDI track would crash Live.[5411]

Under certain conditions, user remote scripts would not work properly.

Dragging a track into a track group would crash Live.[5434]

Trying to load a corrupt Live clip would not show a corresponding feedback.[1854]

Certain undo/redo operation with the Looper could crash Live.[5401]

Deleting the Looper while recording could crash Live.

The piano roll would not work properly when using the absolute mouse mode (via '-AbsoluteMouseMode' in Options.txt) [5428]

Under certain conditions, having an arranger audio clip in beats warp mode could lead to disk overloads on the song loop back jump.[5423]

Slice to MIDI track would be available for image files too.[5389]

Start playing would not always send a MIDI program change when required.[5443]

Auto-Warping of certain audio or video files could crash Live.[5442]

The 'Select all' command in the arranger would not properly set the play start position.[5439]

Drag and drop of group tracks would not behave properly. [5388]

Mac 8.0.2b3

Downloaded > Mounted Image > Dragged To Applications > Open = 'Invalid Mach-o Image'

Anyone else getting this?

I am having problems downloading this for OSX - it keeps saying 'invalid request'

Alex is probably uploading new versions as we speak. I got the Mach-o error too and sent a mail, hopefully before he left the office.

dang the 8.0.2 changelog is gonna be massive when it finally comes out to fix all the bugs

"Invalid Mach-o image" error when attempting to run Live.

You are right. The mac images are currently broken.
We'll fix that as soon as possible but it will need some hours.

Ok, I asked this question on the last update and nobody bothered to answer it. Could you please tell me how are we supposed to know which one to download?? With or without updated library???

If you have limited bandwidth and/or a custom organized library, you don't want the big one.
If you want all the corrections that Ableton made to their own content, you download and install the instruments.

I am still having problems downloading the full DMG file - it says: "Invalid request.".

Alex, would you kindly please provide information on when the 8.0.2 beta 3 for Mac OS X will become available? I have uninstalled the old beta and now I am in the waiting state..
