Hi I'm new here. I just got ableton 8 and made a “neat beat” using three tracks with three different drum kits.
Can anyone give me a clue as to how to make a loop with these three tracks that I can play while recording my audio track?
What I’ve been doing is copying and pasting the loop over and over. But when I watch the ableton movies it seems like you can just have it play throughout the whole recording without the whole copying and pasting hassle.

Quicker to use the duplicate, than copy and paste.
however, if you do it in session view they will run round and round as loops, then press global record and fire off your clips when you want them to feature in your arrangement view track.

You might want to read the included lessons with Live!

Thanks for the advice, I've been reading and working on this for only 2 weeks now. I'm in the "love fiddling around with the knobs" kind of phase.
Flattening the channels and running as clips is doing the trick.
