Installing Live onto a new computer - upgrade question

Hi all,
I've got a new iMac on order and will be installing Live onto it. It's the 2nd machine that I will have Live on, and so within the licence (the other being a Macbook).
My question is about the upgrade - my disc installer version of Live is Live 6. I then upgraded to Live 7, but this seemed to happen automatically rather than me run a new installation disc.
So when I install Live onto the new computer, will it automatically recognise it as Live 7, or is there a process I need to go through?
Apologies for not simply trying it myself - my new machine isn't with me for a couple of weeks (damn Apple shipping!) and it's something I can't stop wondering about.
Kind regards
J
